Funding yip

yip is free software (AGPL-3.0-or-later), pre-1.0, and independent. It isn't for sale and it isn't chasing anyone's approval — but building it takes real time, and if yip is useful to you, support keeps that time flowing. Every avenue below is optional and no-strings. Fund it however suits you; the code stays open either way.

Donate directly (crypto)

Monero (XMR) is the privacy-preserving option, and fittingly on-brand.

Other ways to support

  • RecurringGitHub Sponsors.
  • Contribute — code, review, testing, docs, or a real-world deployment report. See CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • Collaborate — NGOs and mesh operators who need yip's properties, privacy-VPN projects interested in upstreaming FEC/anti-DPI work, and researchers are all welcome to reach out.
  • Grants — internet-freedom funders (NLnet, Mozilla, the Zcash Foundation, Mullvad's OSS support) are one avenue, on our terms and our timeline, not a dependency.

What support buys

Development is milestone-based and lands in the open (see ROADMAP.md): multi-core throughput, traffic-analysis defense, control-plane hardening, and a post-quantum handshake. No paywalls, no "enterprise edition" — the AGPL guarantees it stays that way.
