once some in to a safari tab horizontal scroll doesn't work, only vertical

Im using linear mouse to enable to ability to simulate pinch to zoom in safari. Once that's done vertical scroll works fine but horizontal doesn't trigger at all, destryogin the main use case I had in mind sadly
