After importing group.speed dial settings noting shown in Firefox on Android

I setup GSD Speed Dials and settings on Chrome browser on Windows.
Then I exported them into a *.group_speed_dial file

First side question: does the filename and file extension matter when importing it later?
So can I rename a backup settings file from

backup_2025_03_21.group_speed_dial

to e.g. (even with blanks inside)

GSD_settings_v23_with_mailprovider.full

?

Ok, now I copied the file to my Android 14 smartphone

Over there Firefox v137 is installed with GSD WExt v27.0

I imported the just created GSD backup file and.......nothing happened.
No speed dials are shown.

Even after exit and restart.
Yes, GSD WExt is enabled

Whats wrong?

Doe I have (where exactly ?) enable some special permissions for GSD on Firefox on Android?

Hello,
Was the extension working on your Android before you imported the file? And got broken right after the import?

Note that renaming the exported file may cause issues due to import input that filters out files that has ".group_speed_dial" extension. But if you can select it then it should get imported just fine.

Also, what do you see when you open dials page on your Android? Is there some error?
If you can see the main menu, click it and go to Advanced / Show error logs:

Hmm, there is no "Advanced"--->Show error logs" menu here (see attached snapshots).
GSD is enabled.
There is a "required" list of permissions. Are they currently enabled or do I have to enable them? Where exactly?

I'm sorry for the huge delay, this issue got lost in my many tabs...
In any case, after testing Android I've noticed how terribly hard it is to actually open the dials page (where the "main menu / Advanced / Show error logs" is located).
Firefox for Android doesn't allow overriding New tab page, so to get to your dials page you need to click a "Home" group (or any other group name) which you can see in the "Search" tab (even on your screenshots, it's the very first tab).
So your imported data may be already there.

Make sure to create shortcut for your dials page:
