Currently the verifyCondition step only verifies what semantic-release-npm does but nothing specific to this plugin. It would be nice if it could verify the configuration such as:

  • semantic-release-git assets matches which files will be modified by this plugin, e.g. if it isn't configured to commit lerna.json it should give an error
  • configuration options have the correct values, e.g. latch should not contain foobar
  • More?
