Themes module almost work

Hi I prove experimental module

It works when boot in sysNAND different FW not crashing on boot
However when I boot again in emuNAND the themes are uninstalled. I would expect that the module recover previous situation and reinstall the custom themes

Summarize it would be nice if the feature works as a switch to change on or off when sysNAND and emuNAND have different firmware and custom are incompatible between them

That is the expected behavior, the design goal of the sysmodule is to be an emergency measure to prevent crashes and not a theme manager.

I'll think about your suggestion, the biggest issue would be that there is no way to know if you're switching between sys or emu or upgrading the firmware. In the case of an upgrade it makes no sense to keep old themes and they would just stack up there on the sd card. Though, i don't expect many more sysupdates so maybe it won't be such an issue?

Sure your true and the feature could be enough for safe boot. The you can reinstall the custom theme

My situation, and maybe most user, stockNAND has last FW and SysNAND too but emuNAND will be stuck at 19 or 20 FW most of us. So has sense prevent that kind of behavior but maybe it’s difficult to be sure and implement as you say

Go to the settings page and it will show there's an updated sysmodule you can install.

On boot if the firmware doesn't match this update will backup the current theme to a folder called bak_ and remove the incompatible files. Once you move back to one of the backed up firmware versions it will be automatically restored.
If there are more than 3 backed up versions the sysmodule checks which is the oldest and deletes it so the sd card does not fill up.

The bottom of the page contains the InstallerBuild artifact, that's a zip containing the updated nro for the theme installer. Launch it and it should prompt you to install or update the new sysmodule
