What's the future of `discovery.etcd.io`

The v2discovery has been deprecated. In v3.6, we are using v3discovery. Please refer to https://etcd.io/blog/2025/announcing-etcd-3.6/#v3discovery.

For the public discovery service discovery.etcd.io, we have two options,

• Deprecate it and eventually it will be dead
• Refactor it and use v3discovery.
  • The problem is that we don't see anyone has enough interest or bandwidth to work on it.

Also I'd like to know if we have any usage stats on the public discovery service discovery.etcd.io.
