[Repositiory] Why are there 29 pages of draft-releases?

When you go to the repository's the release overview there are currently 29 pages of old drafts. These drafts show up before the actual releases, meaning I need to go all the way to page 29 to see the actual details of the latest releases...

I assume there is something in the release automation that's making these, but forgetting to delete them after finishing the release?

There was a bug in release process where 1 published release did trigger the next one.
At that time, the only way was to stop the running release pipelines. This ended up having huge numbers of releases.
This happened around christmas (before and after): probably on January 5 2026 and December 17 2025.

We (probably @hkfb, I don't remember exactly) did reset (ie. delete a huge bunch of them) the release tags to avoid the cluttering of releases.
For example, latest subsurface-viewer on 1.15 is 1.15.13 now: all the tags that have been generated at that time (reaching 1.15.76) have been deleted.

But we were not aware of these pages.
You probably can delete all the draft pages for these 2 dates.
