how to add LMS library to symfonium?

Hi, really new to this. I just set up LMS and scanned my library. How can I now add the library to symfonium? As far as I understand, I need to generate an OpenSubsonic API key. In Symfonium I then select subsonic.

But what do I need to add now? Where do I need to enter the API key? What URL/IP/Hostname do I need to enter?

Hello!
When connecting to the lms UI for the first time you created a user and a password.
Now, in the settings of your user on the lms web interface, generate the API key (don't forget to save) and copy/paste the key.
In symfonium, you have to set the URL you used to access the lms web interface, the user you created and the API key you copied as the password. Don't forget to enable the legacy authentication option.

the url used was localhost:port. Can I still access LMS from outside my home network when using localhost as URL?

You need to use your public IP and make sure you redirect the relevant port (5082 by default)

but istn the public IP usually dynamic and changes regularly?

If you have a dynamic IP address, you need to use a service that translates a name to your IP addr (translation is then periodically updated but the name is the same)

thanks. just found out that my fritzbox has exactly this functionality to provide a static adress to access my network from the outside. will try that out when i get home.

I'd suggest looking into cloudflare tunnels when opening up to public
