Request to support the Shaman class in Cataclysm.

🌩️ Elemental

• Elemental Focus (updated) talent / buff
  • must have a less visible spell alert than Wrath, maybe on par with Mage's Clearcasting
  • not sure if we should have 1 stack = Left and 2 stacks = Left/Right, or Left/Right at any stack
  • no glowing buttons, there would be too many
• Fulmination (new) talent / buff (Lightning Shield)
  • must display spell alert with texture Fulmination
  • must trigger while at 7, 8 or 9 stacks, the more stacks, the more visible the spell alert
  • maybe only trigger if the Shaman has the Fulmination talent (in case non-Ele shamans can stack Lightning Shield up to 9 charges)
  • must glow button of Earth Shock, only at 9 stacks on Lightning Shield
• Lava Burst (new), as counter
  • must not display a spell alert
  • must only trigger if the Shaman picked the Lava Surge talent

⚒️ Enhancement

• Maelstrom Weapon (updated) talent / buff
  • Now empowers "Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Hex, or any healing spell", meaning it must include new healing spells such as Healing Surge, Greater Healing Wave, Healing Rain
  • Not sure we want to suggest all those spells, we might want to select a small subset until we find a better way to display them in options

🍃 Restoration

• Tidal Waves (updated) talent / buff
  • Now empowers Healing Wave, Greater Healing Wave, and Healing Surge

Elemental focus: maybe both sides of aura on any stack will be better, desynced pulse animation doesn't look pretty.

Fulmination: button glow is currently tied to 1st enabled number of stacks, ele shamans should calculate a point when they press ES for given stats. For example, currently for me it's 6-7 stacks according to excel sheet.

Lava Surge: maybe now it doesnt strictly need spell alert, with t12 4p it will work exactly like in future expansions , making Lava Burst instant.

MSW: Healing Wave can be easily dropped, it does less healing than Healing Surge. For pure leveling perspective Healing Surge can stay, you gain access to MSW at lvl59 but Greater Healing Wave at lvl68.

Elemental Focus doesn't pulse anymore. The goal was to tag it as minor alert, but if it fixes the pulse desync issue, that's even better.

Fulmination: button glow is currently tied to 1st enabled number of stacks, ele shamans should calculate a point when they press ES for given stats. For example, currently for me it's 6-7 stacks according to excel sheet.

That's a limitation from the glowing button engine we've made so far. For now, the only thing we can do is setup a threshold for everyone (usually max stacks, like Maelstrom Weapon). We will iterate if a trend clearly stands out.

I must admit I hesitated. Unless the current proc is too disruptive, we can keep it that way and adjust later on, given enough feedback.

MSW: Healing Wave can be easily dropped, it does less healing than Healing Surge. For pure leveling perspective Healing Surge can stay, you gain access to MSW at lvl59 but Greater Healing Wave at lvl68.

Part of me likes the idea of "glow only highest heal possible", which totally makes sense. But part of me doesn't like systems that want to be too clever.
