Checking the sha512 on EVERY file seems a brute way to track files.

Only some files will change.

This could be easier if the OS took care of calculating the sha512 every time a file is modified, but as this is the land of the free, one cannot count on that...

The only way this would be reliably implemented, is to expand this project into a properly integrated package. (i think)

I don't think I will do it, because I'm perfectly happy using this script on a hostile terminal.
