Redirect on the page itself

is there a way to make it so that clicking the link that is to be redirected doesn't even ping the original url, by rewriting the html of the page itself?

right now it loads the page and THEN changes it, i'd like it not to even touch the original, is that possible?

Yes, that's how it works. The original URL may momentarily show in the browser's address bar, but the browser should never touch the original URL. The redirect happens before a connection to the original URL is established.

click on the youtube button (not middle click it has to be a left click) and the main page will load and then it will redirect later.

Ah yes, YouTube. YouTube is a hot mess. It redirects itself in many cases, causing all sorts of issues. Even without Redirector, YouTube behaves in such odd and non-standard ways. To make matters worse, it seems to behave differently on different browsers.

if you want, you can get the extenstion called Control panel for youtube, which allows for making the youtube button go to subscriptions. not sure if it will help but i hope it helps in some regard.

it also has many other useful features and settings to disable things with the UI and annoyances
