Audit repository history and provenance before making OpenBeat public #18

Description

@eimexdev

Part of OpenBeat v0.1.0 public launch map.

Question

Can the complete repository history, active branches, source, assets, and public metadata pass a final secret and provenance audit?

Goal

Perform the final public-repository readiness check before changing visibility.

Work

  • Scan the complete Git history and active branches for secrets, credentials, private paths, personal data, and accidentally committed assets.
  • Confirm all source and included assets have known provenance and are eligible for release under the chosen project license.
  • Verify ignored local reference material and test music are not tracked anywhere that will become public.
  • Review repository description, links, default branch, issues, and release metadata.
  • Record anything that must be removed or rotated before the visibility change.

Acceptance criteria

The audit is documented, all findings are resolved or explicitly accepted, and the repository can be made public safely.
