Can't get semantic highlighting to work

I am having an issue with getting semantic highlighting from the rust-analyzer extension to work with the Better Solarized Dark theme. Is there some thing I need to add to my settings.json?

Or actually I am not exactly sure what I should be seeing. Everything seems like the highlighting by the theme. Here is an image:

I'm not very familiar with the rust-analyzer extension, let alone rust. Let me see if this is a theme issue.
