This is awesome! Which cameras are you trying to use? Some look like they view features that could be seen in airborne lidar (e.g. NC12 @ Buxton), others don't (e.g. NC12 @ Temporary Bridge Inlet). And what info are you trying to pull out of the rectified products?

every 10 minutes I am scraping:
Mirlo
Ocracoke
N Hatteras
Buxton
NewInlet
CanalZone

these sites tend to flood — so it would be nice to have estimates of flood/overwash/washover sand deposit dimensions...

It woudl be nice to know how big that breach is....
ALSO! for Mirlo, i have surveyed in many of the poles and signs in the image... (and can go out and do the same for any of the sites...).. but i haven;t spent the time learning to/doing the rectificaiton on the images... your tool seems to make that easy.

All of the cameras move around in the wind, adn sometimes get pointed in other direcitons (i.e., Mirlo is pointed South now, not north (as it as in the image here)

Lastly, I bet there are more traffic cameras like this in other states.... which supplements the surf cameras... and explicilty look at flooding/overwash in developed places (this is an ongoing project with @edlazarus)

Nice. Sorry, just looked at your code. Of the 6 cameras you are using currently, my assessment of SurfRCaT usability is:

Mirlo: Yes
Ocracoke: No
N. Hatteras: Yes
Buxton: Yes
New Inlet: No
Canal Zone: No

However, any camera that has points surveyed-in should be rectify-able. SurfRCaT won't work out of the box for surveyed-in points; SurfRCaT routines would need to be generalized a bit but this is something I've been meaning to do anyway.

I'd love to help out with this- I think it's super cool!

N Hatteras is a scene of NC12 and a parking lot... here is a pic of it flooded

there are poles, beach access steps, and edges to the parking lot that all might be discernible...
