Improve navigating inside the PIM. Currently it is a bit confusing and requires too many clicks and it is confusing on how to get to places.
While functional, they are less discoverable and require additional navigation.
And currently clicking the Query goes to "Editing expressions of a query", instead of editing the Query, which is confusing because I can't even manage the parameters from it. You need to use the '...' to efficiently navigate it.
Even then, getting to manage the Parameters and Sorting of a query is not straighforward - You need to click "View Query" and then click "Manage" - but because it's so "easy" to click in the tree node and get straight into editing Expressions, we can quickly get lost by expecting to get to parameter and sorting from here.
Describe the solution you'd like
Some improvements could be one of these options
- Adding actions in the ... submenu in the tree
- Extending the Actions dropdown (top-right corner) menu to the proper screens
- Adding tree nodes those sections
(this one feels like an anti-patterns based on how DW10 UI is organized - considering it because there is already one there, just uses a confusing label, especially because we tend to name the Repository, Index, and Query all with the same name)
These are the areas in question
The navigation should be consistent with the rest of the platform.
