Is there any chance to link this to a stable wlroots release, even if it's upon the release of 0.21? I want to build and try it, but being on void, there's no easy path to do so unless I was to maintain my own -git .xbps package for wlroots, wlroots-devel, and i'd imagine a handful of dependencies.

I plan to make a release when 0.21 releases, because it depends on protocols introduced in 0.21.

I found an issue with monitors (I built on my Gentoo box), prefer a new issue created or post here?

I have a dual monitor setup, but I'm unsure if that's the issue here.

When following the examples/README.md, if I use bmsg monitor -d 1 2 3 (insert either DP-2, DP-3, or index from bmsg outputs list ie 0, 1) I get:

monitor: unknown monitor

Looks like I wasn't updating monitor names correctly, could you see if the latest commit fixed it?

it is progress though, before it didn't accept any monitors as input

additionally, after removing the DP cable from DP-2, I can't focus DP-3, can't launch fuzzel, foot, or any other hotkey based command/program on DP-3 which is now the only connected output.

I am in the process of refactoring a lot of code and I got access to a second monitor for testing. Will update you when I have something more functional.

just rebuilt this morning and things seem to be working on the output front now, thanks!

new issue has been found. focus follows cursor and cursor follows focus don't seem to work yet. i get positive output in the terminal but it does not take effect

Thanks for testing, I know that there are likely some config options that are not fully implemented and I forgot about. Just added some missing code for those 2 options and it seems to work now.

wlroots 0.20.2 released 2 days ago so we might still be a few months off. I could maybe do weekly releases in the meantime.
