Why is version.php updated to require an non-existant Moodle 4.4.10 ?

I think I found the same issue:

I have an installation of the latest Moodle 4.4:

version.php in the Moodle root directory says:

$version  = 2024042208.04;              // 20240422      = branching date YYYYMMDD - do not modify!
                                        //         RR    = release increments - 00 in DEV branches.
                                        //           .XX = incremental changes.
$release  = '4.4.8+ (Build: 20250516)';    // Human-friendly version name
$branch   = '404';                      // This version's branch.
$maturity = MATURITY_STABLE;            // This version's maturity level.

However, ddmatch/version.php in qtype_ddmatch_moodle50_2025051900.zip says:

$plugin->requires = 2024042210;

Because the latest release notes for qtype_ddmatch at https://moodle.org/plugins/qtype_ddmatch/2.5.4-build-2025051900/36253 say:

Requirements

• Moodle 2.4.1 - 4.1

It might be that 2024042210 should actually be 2024042201.

I've modified this, installed the modified version, and haven't found anything bad yet.

Hi,

I've also hit this issue both on the latest releases of this plugin and report_overviewstats.

If the required Moodle version is 4.4 the string should be '2024042208' as that's exactly Moodle 4.4 version, but it would also work if it's slightly lower as suggests @atrottmann
