This is a hard issue to describe but it seems like there is some element of clean signal blended in to the whole circuit when using op-amps, even in inverting configurations which shouldn't present this issue, I notice it more the more gain stages there are. I have examples of 4 op amp stages if anyone wants the files to investigate.
