The hydra app icons are crafted really well, but I’m struggling with them as app icons due to them being so delicate. Many fine lines, no very prominent subject compared to (i.e. next to) other application’s icons.
Hence I’d like to propose something along the lines of the following quick draft. This was done in macOS Preview by copy-pasting around some black and white shapes, as I don’t have any graphics program installed at all.
Are there any artists and/or designers in the Hydra user base, who might be willing to give it a shot?
Could we maybe organize some commissions via a donation pool (independent from the premium/pro subscription)?
Ideally the icons would be made with Apple’s new Icon Composer. There’s many example .icon files in the Apollo Reborn repository; the icons are GPL-3.0 licensed, I think? (Not sure if the Apollo logo is or was copyrighted, though.)
