Scroling in terminal area

Sorry to keep bothering you about this — I hope I'm not being a pest. The tool is genuinely useful to me for handling several tasks in parallel, and that's exactly why this small flaw stands out so much on an otherwise nearly perfect system.

The scrolling/selection issue still isn't fixed. It's something I can live with, but when I have a very long list of sessions and the window can't fit all the rows, as soon as I reach the topmost visible row with the arrow keys (I never use the mouse unless I have to), the row selection disappears and the terminal doesn't scroll. Even if I scroll with the mouse, the selected row still isn't visible no way to know which one is selected. The shortcut keys do seem to keep working, but you have no way of knowing which row you're acting on. Pressing Down brings the selection back into view only once it reaches a row that was already visible in the terminal area before scrolling. I guess something like acting on arrows moves the prompt area into view ... and the scroll is unusefull.

This used to work in older versions — something changed around version 74, more or less.

Check if you are using TUI full screen for Claude Code, it causes a lot of problems and you need to disable. I would recommend command prompt instead of Windows Terminal as well

No bother at all — thanks for the clear description and the screenshot, it made the cause easy to pin down.

What was happening: that list is Claude Code's own session/background picker rendered inline in the terminal. When it has more rows than fit in the visible area, the highlighted row scrolls above the viewport (which stays anchored at the bottom near the prompt), so you lose track of which row is selected while arrowing up — exactly what you described.

Why it started around v74: older versions remembered your Ctrl+Scroll zoom and replayed it on every launch, which kept the text small enough that these long lists fit. v74 replaced that with the explicit Console font size setting and stopped replaying the old zoom, so after upgrading the terminal opened with larger text, fewer rows fit, and the list started overflowing.

Fixed in v79.0 (just published): on upgrade, your previous zoom is now carried over automatically to the Console font size setting, so the terminal keeps opening at the smaller size you had. Nothing to do on your side — just update the extension.

If you ever want to fine-tune it, you can set the size directly in Settings → Terminal → Console font size (a smaller value fits more rows). And as before, Command Prompt is the recommended terminal type over Windows Terminal.

Closing as fixed — please reopen if it still misbehaves after updating to v79.0. Thanks again for the report!

Seems the problem is still there in version 79. I've to check the TUI, but not shure how to verify the TUI settings. I'm studing about, I let yuou know.
