confused - do i need to pay for something?

hi. saw this on github and it looks useful but im not sure i understand it properly.

does it need one of those api keys to work? i dont really want to sign up for anything or pay a monthly fee just to try it.

also - does it upload my project somewhere to check it? my work stuff is on the same laptop and i'd rather nothing left the machine.

I could not match this to any failure mode I know about, so I have labelled it unmatched for a human to read properly. That is not a judgement about the report — it usually just means it is something new.

To make this actionable, could you add:

Please never paste an API key, token, or .env contents into an issue. usewarden status --json and usewarden judge-check are both built to report what a maintainer needs without ever printing a credential value.

Maintainer note: this issue was opened by me as a deliberate test of the automated triage bot, phrased the way a real new user would phrase it rather than the way a test question is usually written.

The bot's first reply above failed: it declined to answer, asked for diagnostics from someone who had not installed anything, and stated that everything above was a direct quotation when it had quoted nothing.

The bot has been disabled while that is fixed. Root cause: retrieval scored the whole issue body as one query, and a real issue — two genuine questions wrapped in "hi, saw this on github" and "sorry if this is obvious" — diluted the match below the threshold. The fix retrieves per sentence, adds an evidence floor, and makes the automated disclosure conditional so it can never again claim a quotation it did not make.

Leaving this open as the record until the fix ships.
