WARNING: Freebuff provider may ban you for using it in OmniRoute #15009

Thanks for the warning, @hakergeniusz, and sorry about your account. The email is unambiguous: Freebuff's free mode is allowed only through their official clients (CLI, Desktop, freebuff.com), and they suspend accounts that reach it through a third-party client or proxy. Routing it through OmniRoute is exactly that. The Freebuff provider in OmniRoute doesn't warn about this today. Its connection hint even mentions obtaining the token via an "automated harvester". Other providers with a similar risk show a notice in the dashboard, and Freebuff should at minimum get the same (tracked in #15058). For anyone reading: don't route a Freebuff free-mode account you care about through OmniRoute. Their paid API at freebuff.com/account/api is the sanctioned way to use it from other tools. If you want your account back, write to the support address in the email and say you've stopped using a third-party client. |
Uh oh!

The provider of Freebuff may suspend (or simply: ban) your account for using it in non-official clients, like I got here.
Just a warning for everyone.
