Is there/should there be a DCMI process for approving/hosting APs?

At most this would take many months or years of discussion. Is there a simple solution to letting people share APs?

Approving and hosting are much different: - Approval implies review by the Usage Board - Hosting is a much lower bar because the deliverables of DCMI working groups are persistent resources.

Are there any principles against which the usage board would review an AP that we can get consensus on relatively quickly (months, not years, please!)?
