PWHL Playoffs

Hello again. Thanks for your previous work making the PWHL provider! I've discovered two issues with it: the first being that it wouldn't fetch games and display them until the scheduled game time. The second is that it wasn't fetching playoff games. Apparently the HockeyTech API is treating the regular season and playoffs as different competitions. I've tweaked the provider script to address both issues and everything is working fine now. Updated provider script attached. Thanks!!

@jvoss117-2 Your fixes are now up as #240, with you credited as co-author — thanks for the legwork, both diagnoses were right (playoffs live under their own HockeyTech season id, and EST-suffixed start times fell through to the in-progress branch all winter).

One structural change from your attached version: instead of trying a playoff_schedule view per season id, the provider now asks HockeyTech's seasons feed (feed=modulekit&view=seasons) which lists every season with its id, playoff flag, and exact date range — then picks whichever season contains the requested date. That kills the fragile season-id arithmetic entirely, and the regular schedule view turns out to work fine for playoff season ids. Verified against the live API: the 2026 playoff games and 2025-26 regular season (including the new Seattle/Vancouver teams) both resolve, and I added unit tests covering the playoff path, the EST fix, and your Array.isArray data-ready fix.
