Investigate OpenSearch "circuit-breaker" errors #14

Some queries are intermittently returning errors relating to the request being too large. This is likely actually a problem with configuration on the OpenSearch cluster to do with the VM settings and heap sizes, but fixing it would improve the speed and robustness of the generation.
