Thank you for contributing to Quaestor (the "Project"), owned by Felix Schneider (the "Owner"). To keep the Project licensable — including under the Elastic License 2.0 and under separate commercial terms offered solely by the Owner — every contributor must agree to this Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement"). By submitting a contribution (a pull request, patch, or any code, documentation, or other material, a "Contribution") to the Project, you agree to the terms below.
You grant the Owner a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contribution and such derivative works. This license includes the right for the Owner to license the Contribution — and the Project as a whole — under any license terms, including the Elastic License 2.0, other open-source or source-available licenses, and proprietary or commercial licenses, in each case at the Owner's sole discretion.
You grant the Owner and recipients of the software a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contribution, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or by combination of your Contribution with the Project.
You keep all right, title, and interest in your Contribution. This Agreement does not transfer ownership; it only grants the licenses above. You are free to use your Contribution for any other purpose.
You represent that:
- Each Contribution is your original work, or you have the right to submit it under this Agreement.
- If your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have received permission to make the Contribution on their behalf, or your employer has waived such rights for the Contribution.
- Your Contribution does not, to your knowledge, violate any third party's rights.
Unless required by law, your Contribution is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
By opening a pull request against this Project, you certify that you have read and agree to this Agreement.
