A friend of mine has lent me a few of the very first Sideboard magazines. At that time they were basically a 32/64 page magazine, dedicated almost exclusively to the previous Pro Tour. I have taken pictures of all pages in some of the ones I have. (https://drive.google.com/open?id=11SSyk86XNRVr6btg05AZOjvPkxLNBcfP) I have a few more, and I also try to get hold of other issues.
In a way I think they would be a pretty cool fit for the site. It certainly goes a bit beyond what the site is currently offering, adding some colour to the mere stats. I talked to Mike Rosenberg about this, and apparently we will get permission to fully display all of the magazines. (maybe we would have to make a few passages unreadable, because they don't like to see some content online just like that; there are stories about side bets etc.) Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that they would let us use their intellectual property like that.
The way I imagine it being used would be that there is either a link to the Sideboard magazine somewhere at the top of the PT page, and this would redirect you to a page with images of the the pages of the magazine. Alternatively we could move the column with the results a little to the side and put thumbnails with images of the pages to the left of the results, but that would interfere with the clearly structured appearance of the site which I like a lot.
What do you think? Is there any way we could do this?
