Not able to sign in without google account

Its in the name. We play this on chromebooks and we cant log in due to the admin configuration (error 400 access_not_configured).
Would it be possible to make it so we can log in with other methods (eg: email). It would be greatly appreciated if you could do this as we can not tell each other apart (guest #6709 and guest #8613). Or you could make it so we can choose our username.

Right now we only support Google login because it helps prevent alternate accounts, especially in ranked duels where fairness really matters.

That said, we know many school Chromebooks block Google auth with admin settings (including my school haha). Because of this, we are looking into adding custom email logins, but it would need a balance like a restriction of ranked duels or other such safeguards to make sure the game stays fair

Hi, I was thinking about the email login issue and wanted to suggest a possible approach that might balance accessibility and fairness.

Would it make sense to allow email-based login with some safeguards, such as:

• Email verification (to prevent disposable/low-effort accounts)
• Basic IP/device-based rate limiting (to reduce mass account creation)

The unverified accounts would not be allowed for ranked duels but when they get verified, they would be allowed for ranked duels as well.

I understand this wouldn’t completely eliminate alternate accounts, but it might reduce abuse enough to support users on restricted devices like school Chromebooks while still protecting competitive integrity.

Would love to hear your thoughts on whether something like this could fit into the system.
