Issue with Register

why am I getting this type of error ? even after completely copy/paste the new fix code from your git hub repo.

In /api/register.ts, try to replace the following line:

const { email, username: name, password } = req.body;

It's because I found that Antonio mixed up "username" with "name" ever since he created the schema. It worked for me after I use "name" instead of "username" to create a user.

Or maybe you can actually change the schema to "username" but I guess my solution is the easiest way to fix it.

@anthonyiu Now I start facing exactly the same error for GitHub, not exactly same but user details are not entered on MongoDB and it redirects to this URL -> http://localhost:3000/auth?callbackUrl=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A3000%2Fprofiles&error=OAuthAccountNotLinked

I also have an 400 Error:

try to change ip of your mongo db atlas to public '0.0.0.0'. This helped me.

I guess that's because you've already used the same email address to register. Try to clear the user data in MongoDb and try again.

This is because of new nextjs rules!
Instead of pages router you should be using app router. That's why you have to change the api folder structure & endpoint inside your app! Inside your api folder create a new folder named register and then inside that add a file named route.ts. Follow this gist to know more
