Hi all,
our recent studies (Kuchar et al, 2020; Sacha et al; 2021) analyzed characteristics of parameterized OGWD in CMAM30-sd with focus on the NH lower stratosphere. The CMAM30-sd model output has been chosen for the analysis based on the public availability of essential variables (OGW fluxes and drag) in 3D (not zonally averaged) and necessarily high temporal resolution (6-hourly). We would like to definitely validate our results using long-term climate simulations. However, to date sufficient outputs (3D GWD with at least daily temporal resolution) are not available to our knowledge, and also not considered in DynVarMIP (Gerber and Manzini, 2016). Is there any chance to apply for these variables subsequently?
Thanks for your response
