Feature request: Possibility to assign shortcuts to QWERTY Keyboard (e.g. for next/previous patch)

Hi,

i got into KnobKraft after a while again. Great software!!

My only feature request: it to be able to assign shortcuts to my QWERTY Keyboard (e.g. for next/previous patch, favourite, etc.

Yeah, there are some workarounds in the meantime if you can do some basic scripting, read documentation and get some help from AI :-)

Most straightforward way is BOME Midi Translator, where you won't have to script, you can just click it via GUI.

I have single MIDI notes from a button MIDI controller mapped to trigger those macros.

You can do the same and map them to keyboard shortcuts.

Oh wait, I've actually written script for keyboard as well!
aha, that's what was causing me troubles with the CTRL+ALT+X shortcuts elewhere the other day! 😀

Hmm, I am probably mis-remembering that there was some good reason for why there is not more keyboard control incorporated? Anyways, in case it is not that restricted, could we please get a shortcut / function key to delete lists? I've dozens of empty imports that I've somehow created during the 2.8 transition and deleting them by drag and drop is not the most engaging activity :D I'm going to delete them via SQL now...

No, we can add many more key bindings, like page forward/backward, and up/down in the grid which is what you want to use once you use the PC keyboard. Delete list is a bit destructive, but we could do Delete with confirmation dialog, and CTRL-Delete to immediately destroy?

What other keys should we add?

Yes, sorry, I've meant with confirmation, the same action as drag and dropping list on the recycle bin does.
Too tired for other suggestion now....
CTRL+F/L for to focus search window?
CTRL+1,2,3.... to change active synth?
CTRL+TAB to switch between current patch / synth bank / recent patches?
ENTER to confirm dialogues if possible? and possibly TAB for dialog button selection (that's unlikely now I guess]
something to cycle sorts and secondary names?
something to change send mode

For me patch previous/next and favouriting/hide are the most important.
Maybe also
Alt+1,Alt+2,... to select synth
Ctrl+I to import syx
