Inset has two ways to show peak labels

They both do almost the same thing (just the placement of the labels is a bit different).

What's the goal?

I think this is related to peaks vs ranges vs integrals (there are also two "show integrals values" buttons), but this is extremely confusing.

We have two separate sources for peaks:

1. peaks tool, which creates peaks that are part of the peaks object.

2. The ranges tool, which creates peaks that are part of the ranges object.

To simplify, the plan is to remove the integral and peaks tools for 1D data and just keep the ranges tool (which are the combination of both and more things)

The peaks and integrals tools were originally created for educational purposes to help students learn. This was the primary reason for their development.

Hopefully nobody has both ...
