The guide to build/install the RPM for this project is outdated, uses Plasma 5 packages and will most likely not work.
System Information
Bluefin KDE spin (Aurora) on Fedora Silverblue
Additional context
I have found/hacked solutions together for these problems, however, I recommend people to first check COPR packages like https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kylegospo/wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin/. To see if they've been updated for Qt6, before trying to build it my way, as grabbing packages from COPR is usually more proper, since it was hopefully installed the correct way by someone more knowledgeable, and will save you time.
In the meantime, my install instructions and further information are in this chat forum: https://universal-blue.discourse.group/t/how-to-install-wallpaper-engine-on-bazzite-3/1894/1. If on Bazzite ensure to read further on in the thread as I provide a solution there about package conflicts. Most likely in the future, the Mesa-devel file I edited there will be an older version, but the solution should still be the same. By then though, I'd hope there is more official instructions from Bazzite people. Hope this helps anyone wanting to install this fantastic plugin!
