Bug description

I hit #4145, which has been solved in the source code, but it never made it to PyPI. The most recent version available there is 4.8.1, published in June 2021.

Are there plans to restore publishing to PyPI? And if not, could the project at least be marked as "archived" or a last post-release made clarifying this fact in the PyPI page?
