I’m facing the same issue, but only inside the modal. On normal screens, the toast dismisses on swipe, but inside the modal it doesn’t—though it works fine on tap.

PR #602 addresses the responder lifecycle that can leave a touched toast stuck: when iOS/web terminates the PanResponder instead of sending a normal release, the shared panning ref now resets and the toast restores without being dismissed from stale gesture data. The hook and rendered handler paths are both covered, and the full suite remains at 100% coverage. Once that PR is available to test, could you retest the plain touch/hold case? The modal-specific swipe report may involve a separate responder/portal boundary, so I would keep that distinction if it still reproduces.
