Feature request: Ability to update Guitarix within the standalone application

Having a feature to update Guitarix within the application, such as an option to pull and install the app image automatically or manually would be ideal. Currently, Linux Mint's version is 0.46, and perhaps other distributions are behind as well.

That's out of scope for a application. That will only be feasible when the application didn't come from your distribution. Interacting with the distributions package management system wouldn’t be nice, nor easy to do, given how much different systems you've deal with in this case. But, what could be done is providing a appimage https://appimage.org/ from guitarix standalone to give users the ability to easily update in a save way, without the need to compile, regardless the used distribution. In that case it would also possible to add such a option.

That would be a good idea for the future if possible. I have minimal to no experience with C++, but would love to shadow somebody on this when they're working on it!
