Rationale free text field - resets while typing

Describe the bug

When typing in the rationale field, the field resets, losing text typed up to that point. There is no clear pattern for when this happens, but one issue might be that pressing shift sometimes => Select all so that the next keystroke deletes

Type anything in the rationale field

Expected behaviour

It should be possible to type or edit any text in this field.

Updates:

• Problem is a general one affecting free text fields. Marker field is the same.
• This issue might be that select all happens randomly while working on these fields and if it does, the next keystroke overwrites everything.
