Fail to run on blueCFD-Core 2017

Quick answer:

remove log file 'log.setFields' to re-run

This means that the applications have already been executed. OpenFOAM's workflow usually has in its tutorials folders the scripts Allrun and Allclean, the first one runs the simulation and the second cleans up the case so it can be run again. So what you're missing is the Allclean.

I have now removed all the log files with ./AllClean and re-started the running but unfortunately I encountered the same error while running in parallel, i.e. it keeps repeating "application aborted" up to 6 times, for each processor.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue ?

That wasn't very clear in the first message, namely what was the specific error you were concerned about...

The other error stated by the solver was:

Unable to set reference cell for field p
Please supply either pRefCell or pRefPoint

@wyldckat thank you for your prompt response.
It helped me to figure out the importance to determine the pressure level in a cell.
Since there was no declaration in PIMPLE subdictionary in fvSolution of pRefCell or pRefValue I added them by writing:
pRefCell 0; pRefValue 0;
and now the solver runs smoothly.
