Incorrect SSD Fuel Gauge

1． Iprconfig tool cannot show correct endurance information for read intensive SSD including Total Bytes Written, Life Remaining Gauge.

Thanks for your response. This error occurs on WDC WUSTR1538ASS201 SSD with user capacity is 3.72TB. Follow is the output of smarctl -a command and i also attached the datasheet.

Thanks for the info1 I found the product manual and looked the related inqury and sense log stuff.

I put the patch in pull request in ipruutils github tree. You can apply the patch to your iprutils tree or I can build binary iprconfig for you. Let me know.

Hi Edwin and wxiong,
I had complied new iprconfig tool after change the iprconfig.c file. It shows the correct information, but the "Total Bytes Written." under rhel8.4 OS is "209920 GB" is different with the value (210664.53GB) show in AIX 7.2 OS. Follow is output with new iprconfig tool:

I used the same way to calculate this field and "the number of written bytes supported". I will check with AIX developer which field he pulls the "written bytes" from? Maybe we pull from the difference log sense/page.

Working on the "total bytes written". I read the value from the same register/offset like aix. I need to double check the calculation for the field.
