Parameters format error!

I am trying to merging two assemblies, but it is showing parameters format error. what does exactly that error message mean?
my code: /data/mito_assembly/blast_nuc_mito_assembly/57/MAC2/MAC2.0 1.fasta 2.fasta

There are several checks that the program is doing. The first two things that I can think of that are problematic are:

1. Your files' extension is .fasta, but it must be .fa
2. Make sure your directory structure looks something like this:

analysisDir
├── topdirfile.txt
├── input
│   ├── 1.fa
│   ├── 2.fa

Then run your command from analysisDir.
