Delete redundant/empty Google Sheet tabs (content already in classes/properties or deprecated.tsv) #525

Description

@turbomam

The METPO content sheet (1_Lr-9_5QHi8QLvRyTZFSciUhzGKD4DbUObyTpJ16_RU) has 16 tabs; the ROBOT build consumes only classes and properties. Two cross-references (2026-06-08) of every other tab against live classes/properties plus the repo deprecated.tsv:

  1. Class-row level (ID + label): the tabs below have no unique class rows.
  2. Synonym level (synonym / alt-label columns): some of those same tabs DO carry synonyms not present on any live term, so they are not all safe to delete blind.

Safe to delete directly (no unique class rows, no synonym signal):

  • properties-pre-20260324, properties_test (snapshot/test; 0 unique)
  • non-bacdive chemical utilization (all 23 already deprecated)
  • more synonyms (empty, headers only), Sheet38 (empty)

Delete only after a synonym-salvage pass (carry synonyms not on live terms; clean candidate counts after dropping measurement/URL/definition noise from the raw columns):

  • more classes - inconsistent (~368)
  • attic classes (~53), attic properties
  • bactotraits (~13), classes-pre-20260324 (~5), retired minimal classes (~2)

The candidate strings still mix real synonyms with fragments, so they need human review, not a bulk merge. Salvage method and the two unique-content tabs are in #526.

deprecated.tsv stays the single source of truth for historical/deprecated terms. Do NOT delete source mappings or the two metabolic_and_respiratory tabs (see #526).
