Addressing a Problem?

There is only a limited number of membership functions implemanted in LSAPy and overalps exist between some of them, reducing even more the diversity of curve shape covered. Thus, adding more membership functions would be great to provide more options to user.

The scikit-fuzzy package provide some generel membership functions that could be implemanted in LSAPy.

I’d like to work on this issue. My plan is:

Review the existing membership functions in LSAPy and identify the overlaps.

Integrate additional general membership functions from scikit-fuzzy (e.g., triangular, trapezoidal, Gaussian, sigmoid, etc.) to expand the diversity of curve shapes.

Ensure backward compatibility with current LSAPy functions.

Add corresponding unit tests and update documentation/examples.

Could you confirm if this direction aligns with what you expect? Also, are there specific membership functions from scikit-fuzzy that you’d like me to prioritize first?

In the long term, we’d love to see all scikit-fuzzy membership functions implemented in LSAPy! Still, I suggest starting with one for now (e.g., Gaussian), it might help you familiarise yourself with the package and the integration process.
