FileNotFoundError holds Tartube database

Once a week, there is a error with "file not found" holding the download progress, all batch URLs inserted after the error are not saved in the database, I prefer to kill the application and reopen last state.

The error also occurs after webp thumbnails are converted to jpg, to make it possible to embed in mp4 video file, and the script can´t find the previous webp file already converted to jpg.

When this error occurs, the 'copy selected' button from Errors/Warnings log tab doesn't work, this was the reason because I didn't bring this error before, so I decided to printscreen. I verified the printed error was pointing to a redo folder with number 136971 instead of the real redo folder with name 136972 with the mp4 file downloaded, which I forgot to printscreen.

When you right-click a video and select Re-download this video, Tartube moves the old video (and its associated files) to a temporary folder. If the download fails, those files should then be recovered.

You're seeing a Python error because Tartube tried to copy the old files from the temporary folder back to the permanent one, but the temporary folder didn't exist.

I have fixed the crash (the update will be in this week's release), but I don't know the underlying cause is. Perhaps you're using an external hard drive, which are sometimes inaccessible (if so, this is not recommended; it's better to install Tartube on the same hard drive as your downloaded videos).

The next time this happens, you'll see an error message in the Errors/Warnings tab, telling us what the non-existent folder was. Perhaps you can show me that message.

Redo errors didn't happen again, but got this error with JPG file missing, Tartube database kept open holding new jobs, than I had to kill and reopen, I tried the same YT ID and I had no problems with JPG file missing anymore. The selected log wasn't possible to copy and paste, so I had to print it bellow. Thank you!

Fixed in v2.5.235.

The fix is uploaded to github and pypi only. Since you used the debian installer, you need to replace the old mainapp.py file with the new version.

The old version is probably at this location: /lib/python3/dist-packages/tartube/mainapp.py

Alternatives:

• Download the Tartube source code and just run it directly, as described here

• Open /lib/python3/dist-packages/tartube/mainapp.py in a text editor, and patch it yourself, replacing line 15138

        os.remove(temp_dict['delete_webp_path'])
