TransferManager cannot find credentials and config files. Due to wrong HOME variable

echo $HOME
/home/ext20

When I run TransferManager example from main it is able to find the correct home location
however when I run identical code in a function that I call from another file it is unable to find the correct home location

There are no examples in this github repo. Are you talking about this sample from aws-doc-sdk-examples? Have you been able to run any other examples and do you have your credentials file setup correctly?

2. Yes i am using it on a separate thread how can that change access to the /credentials and /config files?

Can you try using the full file path?

how do you specify that to the aws cpp sdk?

You can just use the full file path in your KEY and LOCAL_PATH variables:

const char* LOCAL_FILE = "/full/path/to/local/file.txt";
