Highlights reconstruction works only for mosaiced images, so if your DNG are already demosaiced, the current code is not bugged, it's just that this case is not supported (and require substantial changes). If your DNG are mosaiced, then it's a bug in the detection of mosaiced/demosaiced one stage higher in the tree, when reading DNG metadata. |
|
Unfortunately, DxO PureRaw does indeed produce demosaiced DNGs. Up to Ansel version 2831 this didn't seem to be a problem. |
|
Highlights reconstruction has never supported demosaiced images, we simply don't have the code covering this case, so if your DNG previously worked, then there was a bug before. |

What happened?
This is an old bug, first introduced in version 2845 but persisting until today. Version 2831 was still OK.
In the module highlight reconstruction, the method "guided laplacians" offers 4 sliders and the choice of a
diameter of reconstruction. For CR3 images this still is the case, but for dng images as of version 2845 only the slider "clipping threshold" is available and nothing else.
Does your problem occur with OpenCL enabled ?
