Content refresh ledger

Every published article carries a date and, in the comparisons, a "Reviewed " line and a (2026) title. Those are assets while they are true and liabilities the moment they are not. This file is the review schedule.

Publish dates: all posts were re-dated on 2026-08-23 to run Aug 1–23 rather than into the future. Docusaurus renders future-dated posts immediately, so dating ahead published everything at once with future timestamps. Each comparison's in-body "Reviewed" and "available on" lines were moved to match its new publish date; the underlying research was actually done 2026-08-21/22, which is what the "Last fact check" column records.

Process: review monthly. For each row past its next-review date, re-verify the volatile claims listed, update the article and its Reviewed line, then set a new next-review date. Comparisons carry the highest risk because competitor pricing and feature scope move fastest.

Volatile claim types

  • P pricing, plans, tiers
  • F feature scope, product names, integrations
  • S vendor-published statistics and customer names
  • M model availability and model names

Data review — 2026-10-04

The content program was paused on 2026-08-23 after forty-four articles. Four explicitly authorized product-visual pilots were staggered from 2026-08-29 through 2026-09-01 after a cannibalization review: 3D packshots, ghost mannequin photography, Shopify product media, and Amazon apparel images. Three explicitly authorized comparison articles followed: a procurement guide to managed packshot, 360-capture, and true-3D services on 2026-09-02; a separate AI-versus-studio hybrid workflow guide on 2026-09-03; and this Higgsfield comparison on 2026-09-05. The wider pause remains in force until this review; do not continue the rest of the 24-article backlog without query or performance evidence.

Pull: Search Console → Performance → filter Page contains /articles/, last 28 days, compare against Pages and Queries tabs. Also check Indexing → Pages for anything excluded.

Decision rules — apply in this order:

  1. Not indexed? Fix that before reading anything else. A cluster showing zero impressions because it was never crawled is not a demand signal.
  2. Positions 11–30 — the highest-value work. These are one solid pass from page one. Strengthen the page, add internal links to it, expand the section matching the query.
  3. Impressions with near-zero CTR — a title/description problem, not a content problem. Rewrite the meta description; the page is already ranking.
  4. Queries with impressions and no matching page — the best new-article candidates, because demand is demonstrated rather than assumed.
  5. Cluster at zero impressions 6+ weeks after indexation — demote its remaining backlog rather than pushing through. Named in the plan as the kill criterion.

Specific questions to answer:

  • Do the 22 comparisons rank for their own astria vs <competitor> terms? If not, that is an indexation or authority problem, not a content one.
  • Does best-ai-fashion-photography-platforms pick up any "best AI fashion" variants? It is the highest-ceiling page published.
  • Does the economics cluster show any cost per sku / photoshoot cost impressions? That cluster was the strategic bet and has the weakest competitive precedent.
  • Is ai-lookbook-guide ranking for "ai lookbook"? It was picked as the most winnable head term on the whole list; if it does not rank, the difficulty estimates were wrong.

Parked roster release completed September 5, 2026, with publication dates staggered from August 30 through September 4. The user explicitly reopened the four held areas after this review. The release adds the AI fashion models category guide, ghost-mannequin-alternative, two distinct video guides, and restrained StyTrix/Lumoo alternatives pages. No further backlog expansion is implied; review query overlap and indexation before adding more pages to these clusters.

The likely real bottleneck: off-page. Forty-four internally well-linked pages with no external backlinks will not rank on competitive head terms. The educator/partner program is the backlink engine identified in the internal GTM notes; /fashion-educators now permanently redirects to the live /creators program page.

Search Console optimization sprint — 2026-09-05

Implemented against the priorities supplied for this sprint; no fresh Search Console export or URL Inspection was available in this checkout. Approximate positions below are supplied baselines, not a new measurement. Existing impressions support optimization of these URLs; the changes do not open the wider article backlog or establish complete indexing coverage.

Existing page Supplied signal Change and query boundary
ai-headshots-for-teams Team photo AI intent; position ~20.9 Title/description, headshots versus group composites, reusable brief, approval workflow, and contextual inbound link
ai-lookbook-guide Position ~7; zero clicks Clearer search snippet; product inputs, generation, casting continuity, and garment review own the AI lookbook intent
how-to-create-a-lookbook Position ~15 Shot-list example, page layout, export checklist, and inbound links; owns general planning, wholesale information, and PDF/web delivery
product-photography-cost-per-sku Position ~7.3 Formula-led snippet, illustrative USD budget, quote comparison, and explicit style-colourway denominator; no invented market-rate range
StyTrix, Lumoo, Fermat, WearView comparisons Pricing/review priorities supplied; exact query metrics not supplied Pricing sections and review metadata on existing comparison URLs, current primary sources, and links from the platform shortlist

Cannibalization control: keep both lookbook slugs. General layout and delivery questions belong to how-to-create-a-lookbook; generated-image inputs and fidelity questions belong to ai-lookbook-guide. Use those distinct intents in incoming link text. Pricing and review sections stay on the existing vendor comparisons; do not create separate vendor review pages.

Fact checks: all four comparisons were reviewed against current vendor pages on September 5. StyTrix's pricing page and guide still disagree about prices/trial wording; the article uses the dedicated pricing page and identifies the discrepancy. Its guide documents saved libraries. Lumoo's rendered homepage names brands; its image/video/try-on estimates are alternatives from one credit pool. Fermat and WearView both publish campaign capabilities; WearView also explicitly markets lookbooks. Removed unsupported absence claims and untested quality/cost winners. The guide work is an editorial refresh, not a full legal or feature audit; their existing fact-check schedules remain. Astria's fine-tune retention FAQ was checked for the new headshot storage link, and its headshot input guide supports the submission advice. The cost example is hypothetical and the calendar is a planning allowance.

Rendered SEO check: the existing FAQ script pattern HTML-escaped its JSON in server output. Updated the eleven touched articles to emit valid JSON-LD, escaping less-than characters for safe script embedding; verified visible answers against the eight refreshed FAQ schemas.

Integration: original slugs, publish dates, and covers are preserved. No push or deployment is part of this sprint. Start the measurement window when the edits actually go live; compare page/query impressions, clicks, CTR, and average position over an equivalent 28-day period. At the October 4 review, account for the actual number of live days. Check the two lookbook URLs together for query overlap before expanding either one. Rankings or CTR improvements are not claimed by this implementation.

Validation and setup: yarn install --frozen-lockfile --non-interactive succeeded; yarn build, yarn typecheck, whitespace checks, rendered metadata/canonical/indexability/link checks, FAQ JSON-LD parsing and answer parity, and worked-example arithmetic passed. Run build and typecheck sequentially: the existing TypeScript include pattern also sees generated build files. npm ci could not run because the pre-existing npm lockfile is out of sync with package.json; use the documented Yarn workflow for integration. Neither lockfile was changed. Existing warnings about two unlisted posts without truncation markers remain outside this sprint.

Open items

  • Search Console. Completed September 5: the Higgsfield URL passed the live test and was added to Google's priority crawl queue. The broken /articles/sitemap submission was removed; /articles/sitemap.xml was submitted successfully and Google discovered 68 URLs.
  • Root sitemap and canonical redirects. The main app already derives child-sitemap freshness from declared dates or Last-Modified; September 5 adds coverage for the article fallback, canonical 301s from slashless article paths, and a legacy /fashion-educators/creators redirect. Both redirects were verified live after the production rollout.
  • Covers. Done — all 51 indexed posts have one in the lilac-editorial series. Keep new ones in static/img/covers/<slug>.jpg, and never under a path containing blog: the www.astria.ai proxy 403s any /articles/ URL containing that string.
  • Alternatives cluster. Botika remains the pilot; StyTrix and Lumoo are the explicitly authorized follow-ons. Review all three on October 5 for query overlap with their existing Astria-vs pages before writing any further competitor alternatives.
  • Astria vs FLAM. Deliberately not written. Founder history makes it a leadership call.
