Unable to notify to owner or commiter

Hi, I'm trying to notify of a broken build status to the specific commiter instead of a fixed @UserHandle or slack channel.

Does the notify conf file allows me to set for example the $GO_TRIGGER_USER go env variable in the channel field ???

If not Is there any workaround to achieve this ??

@n4hum Today that isn't possible. We don't get the pipeline run environment variables in the notification plugin, since the plugin runs in the server context and environment variables are in agents.

Thanks @ashwanthkumar but isn't the pipeline commiter user a job / server side variable ?

@n4hum We do have the set of changes for a stage run, but it's hard to derive username (for slack) because that's coming from the materials (and only if it's a SCM).

I don't have a definitive solution for this at the moment. Let me look around to see what can be done.
