Considering what Dr. B has said in class, maybe a good way for us to work is to divide and conquer. I've invited Zak to the repo and he's talked about TEI, so maybe he can set up a template TEI for one of the calendar pages. From there, we can handle who encodes what month with the given base.
Most likely, I'll be working with Logan to work on the website. An issue I know needs to be fixed is with the header; everything that scrolls past the header goes over it, when the header should be layered above the figures and go under the header when scrolled. Other plans include creating HTML pages for each image and adjusting the previous setup I had for them. I have a feeling this will happen once we make progress on TEI, and adding more fonts to the repo.
I'll tag Zak into this discussion when he accepts the invite, and later today, I will create a TEI directory with a placeholder image inside. Depending on the circumstances, I plan to make subdirectories for every month.
From when we met on Wednesday, I trust Laina and Amory with photographing the calendar pages. I can lend you guys a folder and my tripod if you need them, but I advise that when you push them to the repo, follow the naming convention that I used. I'll try to attend the meetings for photographing the pages when I can.
Hopefully, with this strategy, we can make progress quickly. I don't know how much time we have, but my goal is to get all the photos done before thanksgiving break. Let me know what you guys think about this!
