The Carter-Ford campaign is only the first scenario. We want the next one to create a genuinely different strategic problem, not just reskin the map.

Which election would you most want to play next, and what would make its campaign system distinct?

Ideas so far include:

• 1960: television, charisma, and a razor-thin electoral map
• 1980: inflation, energy, incumbency, and a major realignment
• 1992: three-way strategy, Perot, and coalition fragmentation
• A Phoenix or Arizona state-level scenario
