Hello,
I’m Ankita Jadhav from MARUM, University of Bremen, Germany. We have been working on migrating your ROS 1 driver to ROS 2 Jazzy and are currently using the Oculus M1200d and M750d multibeam sonars.
The existing driver works well with the M1200d, as expected since it was tested with that model. I have been working on extending the driver to support the M750d as well.
I received an updated driver from the Blueprint Oculus team, which includes M750d device selection in oculus.h . However, I noticed an issue with the vertical angle definition with in constants.h, which results in bending/distortion in the output. According to the M750d manual, the actual angular resolutions are different from the values currently defined in the driver (see the attached figures).
Are there any plans to extend the driver to support additional Oculus models, particularly the M750d, and to provide an updated ROS 2 Jazzy version?
I would be happy to contribute the M750d support and the required fixes to the project. Please let me know if this would be useful and how I can best contribute.
